We worked with our longstanding client to update and reinvigorate our original store design.

Interior Design, Concept Creation

Founded in 1875, Charbonnel et Walker is one of Britain’s earliest chocolatiers. Encouraged by Edward VII, at the time the Prince of Wales, the company first formed as a Franco-British partnership between Mrs Walker and Mme. Charbonnel.

We have collaborated with Charbonnel et Walker on a number of projects including the creation in 2006 of the original Canary Wharf store. In 2016, after ten years of successful trading, we collaborated once more with the brand to update and redesign this store in line with the brand’s more contemporary design ethos.

The new Canary Wharf store is inspired by design elements from its existing outlets. Our team  drew on the sophisticated marble in the Selfridges concession and the black shelving from the Liverpool Street station location to create a hybrid store. CHD Design have developed a number of International retail platforms including Liverpool Street station, Saks 5th Avenue and Selfridges, London.
