Award winning, family owned Sheppy’s Cider has 200 years of cider making heritage. We helped the business to capitalise on this heritage by transforming their former production site, rewarding fans of the brand’s products and offering a memorable dining and retail experience to customers old and new.
We marked the expansion from product into experience by drawing on the business’s heritage. Our team researched the inherent craftsmanship of the sixth generation, master cider makers and sought to reflect this in every aspect of the design concept. We complemented the building’s original features with new and contemporary elements, retaining the exposed roofing framework to create a sense of scale and using original cider vats and natural materials in a nod to Sheppy’s cultural heritage.
Our interiors team created a new customer experience for Sheppy’s, consisting of a bar, restaurant, artisanal deli with bakery, butchery, café, cider tasting counter and retail space. Our graphics team created the retail signage as well as the brand name and logo of the Apple Bay Bar & Restaurant, with its locally sourced Somerset produce.
Sheppy’s customers typically remark that you can taste the craftsmanship that goes into the core product. Our team was determined to keep this expertise and artistry at the heart of the new development, creating a perfect destination for cider drinkers and fine food enthusiasts alike.
